Soaring temperatures for All-Ireland hurling final day

All-Ireland finals in July! Temperatures are due to hit highs of 28 degrees during today's senior hurling showpiece between holders Limerick and Kilkenny at Croke Park.

Met Eireann has forecast "dry and very warm" conditions ahead of the 3.30pm throw-in time for the Liam MacCarthy decider.

An overview on www.met.ie reads: "Today will be dry and very warm in Dublin with bright or sunny spells."

"Highest temperatures of 26 to 28 degrees warmest inland with light to moderate southerly breezes."
