Westmeath manager Jack Cooney made a young fan's day by visiting him in hospital and bringing along the Tailteann Cup trophy after his side's inaugural success in the competition against Cavan on Sunday.
A member of the Donegal U16 football academy squad this year, Kilcar's Daniel McCloskey suffered a serious foot injury and is recovering at Galway University Hospital.
And former Donegal selector Cooney, whose wife Elaine hails from Kilcar, went out of his way to spend time with Daniel, who is a cousin of Donegal star Ryan McHugh and has strong Westmeath connections.
Senior football manager Jack Cooney paid a visit today to Daniel McCloskey from Kilcar, Co Donegal, Westmeath's No.1 supporter in Donegal, who is recovering from a foot injury at Galway University Hospital.
