Cork have been dealt a blow ahead of the All-Ireland SFC Qualifiers with the news that Kevin Flahive has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The Douglas defender suffered an ACL tear in the closing stages of last Saturday evening's Munster SFC semi-final defeat to Kerry at Páirc Uí Rinn, and will undergo surgery in the coming weeks.

"Unfortunately sport can be cruel and that's the end of my season. Looking forward to getting over the surgery in the next few weeks and getting back to representing my family, club and county next year," he tweeted last night.

Goalkeeper Míchéal Martin is also an injury concern for Round 1 of the All-Ireland Qualifiers on the weekend of June 4-5 after being forced off with a groin injury against the Kingdom.
