Monaghan star Conor McManus has had the red card he received against Armagh last weekend rescinded by the GAA's Central Hearings Committee.
The Clontibret clubman was issued a straight red card by referee Barry Cassidy for an off-the-ball incident which occurred in the Armagh goal-mouth early in the second-half of the drawn Allianz League encounter at the Athletic Grounds.
McManus had the successful appeal heard last night (Thursday) and will now avoid a one-match ban which would’ve seen him miss the Farney men’s clash with Kerry this weekend.
Seamus McEnaney’s men welcome the Kingdom to Inniskeen on Sunday (2pm) looking for a first win in their Division 1 campaign after having had two draws and a defeat three rounds in.
