Antrim picked up their second Allianz Football League Division 3 win this afternoon by seeing off Wicklow on a 2-10 to 1-7 score-line at Corrigan Park.

Marc Jordan and Conor Murray struck the second-half goals which proved decisive for the Saffrons as the bounced back from the defeat they suffered at the hands of Limerick two weeks ago.

The points of Ruairi McCann and Ryan Murray helped settle the hosts into this one early as they built up a 0-4 to 0-0 lead after 15 minutes, but Kevin Quinn’s well-taken goal brought Wicklow right back into contention.

Points from Kevin Small and Odhran Eastwood stretched the Glensmen’s lead back to two but the sides would be level come half-time (0-7 to 1-4).

Tomas McCann pointed early in the restart for the victors and once Jordan hit the Garden men’s net there’d be no coming back for the visitors.

Enda McGinley’s men kept their opponents at arm’s length and it was Murray’s late strike that sealed the deal for Antrim as Wicklow remain winless after three league outings.

Today’s other Division 3 encounter between Fermanagh and Laois (throw-in 6pm) has been called off due to an unplayable pitch at Brewster Park, Enniskillen.
