Waterford dominated from start to finish when cruising past Laois by 33 points in their one-sided Allianz Hurling League Division 1B clash.

Minus the services of their All-Ireland winning Ballygunner contingent, the Deise dished out a 7-31 to 0-19 humiliation to the midlanders at Walsh Park this afternoon.

The scoreboard at full-time made for grim reading for Seamus 'Cheddar' Plunkett's team, who ran Tipperary within four points eight days ago.

The hosts raced from the block with a Carthach Daly goal in the 9th minute and they went eight points clear after Austin Gleeson launched their second green flag.

Three goals from Patrick Curran, Stephen Bennett and debutant Ciaran Kirwan one after the other between the 33rd and 34th put them into a whopping 5-12 to 0-11 half-time lead, and the game was over as a contest.

Bennett, who finished with 3-8 to his name, grabbed Waterford's fourth goal from a penalty and then completed his hat-trick from the spot again on 65 minutes after Laois lost Ben Conroy to a straight red card.
