New York GAA have appointed Armagh native Johnny McGeeney as their new senior football manager.
The Culloville native has been handed the reins after leading St Barnabas to back-to-back New York SFC titles with a team of homegrown players. New York are due to host Sligo in the first round of the Connacht SFC next April, having not taken part in the last two championships due to the pandemic.
In a Facebook post, New York GAA has wished McGeeney and his backroom team consisting of Gareth Bailie (selector), Brian Henry (selector), Tommy Quaid (selector), Mike Brosnan and Michael Catterson well for the coming season.
