Reigning champions Cuala completed the line-up for the Dublin SHC semi-finals after edging Ballyboden St Enda's 1-27 to 0-28 in a thrilling extra-time contest.

The two teams, who have won the last seven titles between them and met in last year's showpiece, were level on no fewer than nine occasions before late points from David Treacy and Con O'Callaghan saw Cuala qualify for the last-four stage which will take place the weekend after next.

Seán Moran's 10th minute goal had Cuala narrowly ahead by 1-10 to 0-12 at half-time and the scores were tied at 1-21 to 0-24 at full-time after 'Boden marksman Paul Ryan twice levelled proceedings in injury-time.

Cuala will now face Kilmacud Crokes, who had too much in hand over St Oliver Plunkett's Eoghan Ruadh in this afternoon's curtain-raiser at Parnell Park.

Crokes ran out comprehensive winners by 1-26 to 0-19 - a late Alex Considine goal put a gloss on the margin of victory.

Following their respective victories over St Jude’s and Craobh Chiarain yesterday, Na Fianna and Lucan Sarsfields will meet in the other semi-final.
