Offaly GAA will be voting in favour of Proposal B at next week’s GAA’s Special Congress which will determine the future format of the senior inter-county football competitions.

Chairperson Michael Duignan appeared as a guest on OTB AM this morning and revealed that the county’s players, team management and county committee are united in their support of Proposal B which seeks to incorporate the league and the championship.

“I think it’s an opportunity to change the direction of the football championship for the better. That’s my own personal opinion,” Duignan started off.

He added: “Our players met on it, they came back to me, the player reps, and they are 100% supportive of Plan B.

“I met our team management last week, John Maughan, Tomas O Se and the lads, and they are, again, fully supportive.

“Our County Management and County Committee are also behind Plan B.”
