Stefan Okunbor's return to GAA action was prematurely ended by injury yesterday.

The former Kerry minor and U20 star, who recently returned home after a three-year spell with the Geelong Cats in the AFL, was forced to retire just after the first water break in Na Gaeil's Kerry IFC quarter-final against Ballydonoghue. But the Tralee club still ran out 1-9 to 1-4 winners thanks to five points from county player Diarmuid O'Connor.

Na Gaeil will face Castleisland Desmonds in the semi-final after they pipped An Ghaeltacht 4-11 to 3-13 in an epic contest. Beaufort and Rathmore will face off in the other last-four tie following their respective victories over Kilcummin and Glenflesk.

Beaufort hammered an out-of-sorts Kilcummin by 2-21 to 0-10, while former county star Aidan O'Mahony was among the scorers as Rathmore defeated local rivals Glenflesk on a 1-18 to 1-11 scoreline.
