A small piece of history will be made tomorrow when Birr will play host to its first Offaly SFC games since 1972.
The traditional home of Offaly hurling will stage the Cappincur v Ferbane and Tullamore v Shamrocks ties at 3pm and 6pm respectively. The games have been fixed for the 8,800-capacity St Brendan's Park because of its ability to take crowds of 500 under the current restrictions. All other GAA grounds in Offaly with the exception of Bord na Mona O'Connor Park are currently limited to attendances of 200.
TweetInteresting to see two @Offaly_GAA club football games fixed for @BirrCLG on Saturday.

By my records, the last SFC fixture at the venue was Ferbane v St Rynagh's back in 1972. pic.twitter.com/hahUO9vrrm
