Offaly ace Niall McNamee says the upcoming Leinster SFC quarter-final derby against Kildare will bring the best out of both the players and the supporters.
The Faithful men booked their slot in the last four by virtue of a 3-19 to 0-19 extra time win over Mickey Harte’s Louth side last weekend.
Speaking to The42.ie, McNamee said he’s relishing the battle ahead with the Lilywhites at O’Moore Park, Portlaoise (throw-in 4.30pm).
“Look, it’s a local rivalry against Kildare,” said the Rhode sharpshooter.
“It’s brilliant, it brings out the best in the supporters, it brings out the best in the players as well. We’ll be looking forward to it.
“It’s brilliant, games are coming thick and fast between the league final and the Fermanagh game and obviously Louth and now next week as well.
“Recovery is key for the next few days definitely.”
