Team news: O'Neill rings the changes

Galway manager Shane O'Neill has rung the changes for his side’s Allianz Hurling League Division 1 clash with Waterford at Pearse Stadium on Sunday.

There are five changes in personnel from the team that began the 2-19 to 0-20 defeat at the hands of Tipperary two weeks ago.

Into the defence come Shane Cooney, Gearoid McInerney and Fintan Burke as Cathal Mannion and Sean Loftus both start in the half forward line.

Aidan Harte, TJ Brennan, Jason Flynn, Joseph Cooney and Kevin Cooney are the players who drop out of the starting side this time.

Galway (Allianz HL Division 1 v Waterford): Eanna Murphy; Shane Cooney, Daithi Burke, Darren Morrissey; Padraic Mannion, Gearoid McInerney, Fintan Burke; Johnny Coen, Joe Canning; Adrian Tuohy, Cathal Mannion, Sean Loftus; Conor Whelan, Conor Cooney, Brian Concannon.

Subs: Darach Fahy, TJ Brennan, Jack Fitzpatrick, Aidan Harte, Sean Linnane, Joseph Cooney, Evan Niland, Kevin Cooney, Niall Burke, Jason Flynn, Conor Walsh.
