Donegal could be without Michael Murphy for next weekend’s clash against Armagh after the full-forward lasted just five minutes of this evening’s drawn encounter with Monaghan.

Murphy was forced off with a hamstring injury in the early stages in Ballybofey, where the hosts came back from a nine-point deficit to claim a 1-20 to 4-11 draw against the Farney men.

Conor McCarthy’s first-half hat-trick was not enough for Seamus McEnaney’s charges as the Tir Chonaill men fought back in the second-half and it was Paddy McBrearty’s calmly stroked free that earned them a point in the end.

Along with Murphy, Eoghan 'Ban' Gallagher and Brendan McCole picked up injuries that saw them withdrawn in their team’s comeback to claim a share of the spoils.
