Tomorrow’s Allianz Hurling League meeting between Kilkenny and Wexford has been postponed due to a further positive case of Covid-19 in the Wexford camp.
The Slaneysiders saw their preparations disrupted earlier this week after it was confirmed that two players had tested positive for the virus.
Tests on the rest of the panel had showed no more positive results.
However, further tests yesterday saw one further member test positive and, as a result, tomorrow's Allianz HL Division 1 Group B round 3 game at Nowlan Park has been called off.
Wexford county board confirmed with a statement today that they decided to seek the postponement of the game.
"Following receipt of these results at lunchtime today and further consultation with public health officials, it was agreed that there was a possibility of transmission with the squad and players will restrict movements until further testing next week," the statement read.
