Taoiseach confirms games will resume on 7 June - no spectators allowed to attend

The green light has been given for adult club training to return in the Republic of Ireland from 10 May, while games will resume four weeks later on 7 June, athough no spectators are allowed to attend.

After recommendations from NPHET yesterday, Cabinet signed off on new Covid-19 restrictions, which Taoiseach Micheál Martin confirmed in an addresss to the nation from Government Buildings this evening. 

Underage club players returned to training last Monday, while inter-county training resumed both north and south on 19 April.

Training for adult and underage club players in Northern Ireland has been permitted since 12 April
