Offaly GAA lead tributes following death of stalwart Martin Heffernan

The late Martin Heffernan served for several years as Offaly county board secretary
Offaly GAA is in mourning following the death of former county board secretary Martin Heffernan.
Tributes have poured in since news of Mr Heffernan’s passing yesterday, with Offaly GAA tweeting the following:
"Another well-known Offaly Gael passed to his eternal reward today [Monday].
"Martin Heffernan served for several years as Offaly Bord na nOg Secretary, and before that was both a player and administrator with Tullamore GAA.
"May he rest in peace."
Rest in peace Martin. A great secretary who cared deeply for Offaly GAA and underage development in particular. Highly organised and always doing far more than his job description entailed. Condolences to Martin’s family.
