It will come as welcome news to GAA clubs that the Government has decided to extend the deadline for receipt of applications for the 2021 Sports Capital Grants Programme until 5pm on March 1.
Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin TD, and the Minister of State for Sport and the Gaeltacht, Jack Chambers TD announced the news yesterday.

In light of public health restrictions, we have extended the deadline for receipt of Sports Capital Grant funding applications to March 1st.

I am aware of many clubs experiencing delays in completing applications for the Sports Capital Grant this year as a result of increased public health restrictions. In light of this the deadline for applications is now extended to March 1st.

At least €40m is being made available under this year's Sports Capital Grants Programme to help develop sports infrastructure around the country.
