Clare All-Ireland winner Brendan Bugler has taken the reins of Offaly senior hurling side Birr for 2021.
Having retired from duty with the Banner County in 2017, Bugler has been involved with Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford as a coach in recent years.
Birr GAA confirmed yesterday via Twitter that the Whitegate will be steering their ship next season, with former Roscommon GAA head of athletic performance David Mannix also on board as strength and conditioning coach.
Birr reached the Offaly SHC final in 2019 and will be amongst the favourites to land the Sean Robbins Cup next year.
