Former Mayo forward Conor Mortimer has taken the reins of Kildare senior side Monasterevan.
Mortimer won four Connacht SFC titles in his playing days with Mayo and lined-out in All-Ireland SFC finals against Kerry in 2004 and 2006.
Monasterevan announced the appointment of the Shrule-Glencorrib man on social media last night.
“Monasterevan GFC are proud to announce that former Mayo footballer Conor Mortimer has been ratified tonight as our Senior Football Manager for 2021,” a tweet from the club’s account read.
“We wish @ConorMort and the team the best of luck for the year ahead.”
