Adare 4-7
Ballylanders 0-4
Adare are Limerick senior football champions for the third time in their history after cruising past Ballylanders this afternoon at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.
Two goals in each half saw the 2018 champions crush their opponents in this decider and take their third championship in four years.
Hugh Bourke’s goal after seven minutes set the tone for the winners as they went on to take a 2-3 to 0-1 lead by the break.
Jimmy Barry Murphy’s free in the 38th minute would be just Ballylanders’ second point of the afternoon as their opponents led by eight before bagging back-to-back goals in the 28th and 29th minutes.
The majors ensured a 15-point margin at the finish as Adare kept up their impressive form in recent weeks to collect the coveted Fr Casey Cup.
