Covid-19 causes postponement of Cork SFC quarter-final

September 17, 2020

Ballincollig and Nemo Rangers were due to meet at Pairc Ui Rinn.

This weekend's Cork SFC quarter-final clash of Ballincollig and Nemo Rangers has been postponed due to a Covid-19 concern.

It emerged earlier this week that a Ballincollig player had tested positive for Covid-19 and a decision was made to temporarily suspend all club activity for 48 hours as a precautionary measure.

Ballincollig have since been cleared to resume activities on advice and guidelines provided by the HSE but despite this, Cork GAA today confirmed that Sunday's fixture at Pairc Ui Rinn will not take place. However, the remaining quarter-finals will go ahead as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the Killeagh versus Kilworth SHC 'A' relegation play-off match which was called off last weekend following a confirmed case of Covid-19 has been re-fixed for the end of this month.
