Ballyhale Shamrocks 4-18

Clara 0-11

Four early goals laid the platform for Ballyhale Shamrocks' comfortable quarter-final victory over Clara this afternoon.

Picking up where they left off last weekend when they hit 4-38 against Rower-Inistioge, Eoin Cody, Eoin Reid (2) and TJ Reid all found the back of the net in a devastating spell inside the opening eight minutes.

The three-in-a-row All-Ireland champions looked well on the way to the last four as they led by 4-9 to 0-7 at the half-way stage at UPMC Nowlan Park.

The Kilkenny SHC semi-final line-up will be completed later this evening, with James Stephens meeting Mullinavat (throw-in 5pm).

Both Dicksboro and O’Loughlin Gaels booked their places in the next stage yesterday after beating Bennettsbridge (3-27 to 2-14) and Erin's Own (2-14 to 0-10), respectively.
