Adare 1-19

Doon 0-22

A John Fitzgibbon '65 in the dying seconds ensured a share of the spoils for Adare against Doon in last night's Limerick SHC encounter.

Doon looked to have done enough to seal a win in their first outing in Group 1 when Darragh O'Donovan pointed them infront in the closing stages. But Fitzgibbon kept his cool and Adare's hopes of advancing into the knockout stages alive with his fifth point of the contest.

Adare established a 0-12 to 0-11 half-time lead and built on that with Brendan O’Connor’s early second half goal edging them further ahead.

Managed by former Galway camoigie boss Tony Ward, Doon soon clawed their way back into contention with scores from Jack Cummins and Jack Ryan to force a tight finish at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.
