Clann na nGael produced an incredible fightback to force a 1-14 apiece draw with St Brigid's in the Roscommon SFC at Dr Hyde Park yesterday after trailing their rivals by eleven points in the first half.
St Brigid's looked home and dry by the 15th minute when Brian Stack netted to push the Kiltoom side into a 1-8 to 0-0 lead. But Liam Kearns' charges gradually clawed their way back into it and cut the deficit to six points, 1-8 to 0-5, at the break. They finally got level approaching full time with a point from Donie Shine after Ciaran Lennon scored the goal they much needed.
Commentator: I would suggest that they probably need a goal.
