Delanys GAA in Cork has unveiled a specially designed jersey honouring the brothers after whom the club is named.
The jerseys commemorate Jeremiah and Cornelius Delany, who were shot on the night of the Burning of Cork 100 years ago. Only last month, Cork GAA brought out a limited edition black jersey honouring former Lord Mayors Tomás Mac Curtain and Terence MacSwiney.
The new Delanys jersey can be bought through the club for €30-35 and will be available to buy online with Masita from Monday at €44.
The Dublin Hill club explained on their Facebook page: "As you all know our club is named after the Delany brothers who were shot on the night of the burning of cork. As it was 100 years ago we thought we should also do something nice to commemorate them like the Cork jersey."
