Aaron Kernan was a happy man after winning his 16th Armagh SFC medal yesterday.
The former county star skippered Crossmaglen Rangers to a 2-18 to 2-9 victory over Ballymacnab at the Athletic Grounds to claim their 21st Gerry Fagan Cup in 24 years.
"This was my 16th title and one of the sweetest," Kernan smiled.
"Boys like Rian and Oisin O'Neill and Callum Cumiskey were superb in that second half (Cross' had trailed by 0-6 to 1-6 at half-time). Some boys became men today.
"I thought we were off the pace in the first half and we were sleep-walking at times, but our management addressed what they felt were some issues at half-time and we never looked back. I thought that the young guys in our side stood up to the mark on this occasion and they certainly offer us great hope for the future."
