Tragic Kerry farmer was a lifelong GAA supporter and attended All-Ireland final

Barney Dowling who died in a tragic farm accident on Monday was a lifelong supporter of Kerry GAA and attended the drawn All-Ireland football final against Dublin at Croke Park the day before.

It's believed Mr Dowling fell into a slurry pit at his farm in Kilbrickane while attempting to rescue a calf.

The Kerry GAA supporters club has paid tribute to the late stalwart, extending their deepest sympathies to the Dowling family.
