Paul Kinnerk deserves all the credit he gets for Limerick’s hurling success, according to Aaron Gillane.
Monaleen clubman Kinnerk was involved with Clare when they claimed the Liam MacCarthy Cup in 2013 and his midas touch worked with his native county last summer and Gillane says his contribution shouldn't be underestimated.
“I think we’re lucky in that we’re working in an era when we have Paul as a coach,” the Treaty County sharpshooter remarked to The Irish Daily Star ahead of this weekend’s semi-final showdown with Kilkenny.
“He’s the best that I have ever come across, and I could talk for the rest of the boys when I’m saying that. He’s just unreal and I can’t talk highly enough of him.”
He added: “Everywhere he’s been, he’s brought success and won things so I don’t see why you wouldn’t trust him.
“I think he knows the game better than nearly anyone at this moment.”
