Philly McMahon fears that gaelic football is being transmogrified into Aussie Rules.

The introduction of an Aussie Rules style mark from kick-outs has been followed by a trial period for an advanced mark and Dubs defender McMahon wishes the powers that be would stop interfering with the rules and diluting the game:

“When does it get to the point when we just leave our sport the way it is and play with it?” the six-times All-Ireland winner asks in The Irish Daily Star.

“The amount of rules we have changed over the last couple of seasons has just been frustrating for me as a player. Just let me play the sport and, if we keep changing it, in ten years’ time the sport is going to be completely different.

“Just let’s play Aussie Rules in ten years’ time, you know?”
