The controversial Páirc Uí Chaoimh playing surface was once again the subject of criticism after yesterday's Allianz League double-header.
The pitch, which Croke Park stadium director Peter McKenna recently admitted would have to be replaced less than two years after it was laid, cut up badly, leading to much negative comment on social media.
Is there any explanation as to WHY the Páirc Uí Chaoimh pitch is so bad? How could they have got it so wrong given the money spent?

No idea how much it cost, the pitch is a disaster & several planning conditions are still not complied with. All at a time when Cork GAA could do with a centre of excellence / investment in youth...You couldn't make this stuff up...🙄 https://t.co/Y3hoEOwOzq via @RTENewsNow

Possibly €110m spent on Páirc Uí Chaoimh and the pitch is disgraceful. Surely that surface is a danger to players....

Pairc Ui Chaoimh for me today for Cork V Wexford in the Allianz Hurling League . Kildare won the Football 1-10 to 0-10. The pitch sadly is not in good condition. This is the view from my Commentary position! See Highlights tonight on League Sunday @RTEgaa @LeagueSundayRTE pic.twitter.com/S86uYFtucW

If your local has pitch had 100 sheep on it it still would be in better condition than pairc ui chaoimh #disgraceful

Cork who have the advantage of a strong breeze have all 15 inside the 50 metre line. Absolute madness!! Also the pitch in Páirc Uí Chaoimh is in an absolute state. May as well be played on a bitta grass grown out in the middle of the Bog of Allen pic.twitter.com/roM3A1bxsI
