While the Kerry footballers aren't permitted to return to collective training until December 1, there are already reports that a number of big names won't be involved in new manager Peter Keane's squad.

Keane and his management are currently making plans for 2019 and, according to the Kerryman, Fionn Fitzgerald, Barry John Keane, Ronan Shanahan, Daithi Casey and Mark Griffin will miss the cut. This comes following the retirements of Kieran Donaghy, Donnchadh Walsh, Darran O'Sullivan and Anthony Maher in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, Jonthan Lyne, Jack Sherwood and Shane Ryan are set to receive recalls after impressing for their clubs and districts in this year's county championship.
