Kilcormac/Killoughey and Coolderry will face off in the Offaly SHC final on October 7 following their semi-final victories over St Rynagh's and Belmont respectively at the weekend.

Sean Robbins Cup holders Kilcormac/Killoughey needed a late goal from Thomas Geraghty to shake off St Rynagh's stern challenge at Bord na Mona O'Connor Park on Saturday evening. The K/Ks led by 0-9 to 0-6 at half-time, but a Ronan Hughes goal with 12 minutes remaining helped the Banagher men reduce the gap to a single point before two points from Cillian Kiely and Geraghty's injury-time strike settled it.

In the other semi-final at St Brendan's Park yesterday, Coolderry edged out Belmont 4-13 to 3-15 after a terrific battle.

An easy Coolderry win looked to be on the card when goals from Conor Molloy, Martin Corcoran and Brian Carroll (penalty) propelled them into a 3-5 to 0-2 lead after 20 minutes, But an Oisin Kelly goal gave Belmont hope going into the interval and they continued their fightback in the second half when Kelly completing his hat-trick.

Ultimately, Eoghan Parlon's 51st minute major for Coolderry proved decisive as Belmont were denied a first county final appearance by the minimum margin for the second year in-a-row.
