Former Galway dual star Alan Kerins delivered "another huge Croke Park performance" in front of Pope Francis at the World Meeting of Families yesterday evening.
An estimated 80,000 people were in attendance at GAA HQ and the Clarinbridge clubman, his wife Ciaran and son Ruadhán were one of a number of families that gave testimonies.
GAA President John Horan had earlier greeted the Pontiff on his arrival at the home of Gaelic Games and presented him with a gift on behalf of the Association.
First testimony of the evening at #FestivalOfFamilies . Alan Kerins fromreland told us about a difficult experience that he and his wife went through with his son Ruadhan. Family life is full of happy moments and can also bring troubled times! Thank you, Alan!
