As his team-mates get stuck into preparations for the All-Ireland SHC final, Limerick midfielder Paul Browne has started out on the long road to recovery from ACL surgery.
Browne's participation in this year's championship campaign was brought to an end by a cruciate ligament injury.
The Bruff clubman, who was the team's vice-captain, came off the bench in three of the four Munster SHC round-robin games and, no doubt boosted by his team-mates exploits against Cork, he went under the knife at Santry Sports Clinic yesterday.
TweetFloated in the door of @SSCSantry for my ACL reconstruction this morning, thanks to my teammates. They have been an incredible source of support over the past few weeks and continued to be incredible again on Sunday. #LuimneachAbú pic.twitter.com/f1dq6k8Awe
