Tyrrellspass have turned to former Dublin footballer John O'Brien in their quest to finally land the Westmeath SFC title this year.
O'Brien managed Ballyboden St. Enda's last year after leading Curraha to Meath and Leinster club JFC honours in 2015.
He replaces 2004 Leinster SFC medallist Alan Mangan, who recently became a Westmeath hurling selector. Mangan led Tyrrellspass to back-to-back county finals in 2016 and 2017, only to come up short in both against St. Loman's.
