Moanaghan were outstanding. Very unlucky.
Peter Donnelly has made the difference in their set up.

Another excellent performance, another win should secure Div 1 status for another year, will leave it to any neutrals to discuss the refereeing

Monaghan were excellent for most of the game, but made a bags of the last few minutes. They should've been holding on to the ball in injury time. Instead they had Beggan kicking 2 shots which were extremely difficult in such conditions and handing the ball straight back. One of them was near on impossible.
Can't remember who it was, but the kickout dropped over the sideline which led to Dublin's goal. The fella behind him was in a much better place to catch it and called for it. Should've left it to him. There wasn't a Dub near them.
People can whinge about the time added, but there was no play for at least half of the announced 6 minutes.
Disappointed for Monaghan. They really deserved it.

I thought 6 mins was an awful lot to start with but to add 3 onto that, come on! Good game all the same you really need to score as much as possible when your on top of dubs, they will always come back

Monaghan threw it away but you have to give credit to the Dubs. Great come back. They just dont know when they are beaten.

Dublin will be disappointed that there wasnt another play left in the game given the lack of time which the ball was actually in play in injury time. Ref harsh on them in the end imho.

Replying To tulachmhór:  "Got the full house last weekend, granted it wasnt the most difficult weekend to predict. This week:

Dubs v Monaghan- draw -monaghan can as good as secure safety here if they continue with their policy of strong league teams. Have a feeling they will get something out of a possibly experimental dubs side.

Tyrone v Kerry-Kerry by 7/8. Not much to be said, Kerry's inside forwards may go to town here. Tyrone v poor last weekend by all accounts.

Meath v mayo- draw. Meath need something and will have learnt from first two games. Mayo not massively impressive thus far so should be tight.

Donegal v galway - donegal by 2. Flip of a coin, home advantage to swing it along with galway forward line being smothered. Hope to see mcbrearty."
Hurdle one cleared in the acca. Meath v mayo my only real worry now.

Well done Monaghan this evening btw despite a bit of time wasting. Safe as house in div 1 now. Good job by the banty.

You are 100% right tulachmhór now can you explain why ref didn't give the advantage when monaghan were through on goal?

Very good game in the coditions that prevailed. Monaghan will feel aggrieved with a couple of late decisions. Calling them back for a free in the middle of the field when McManus was through on goal was very poor. The ref obviously felt the need to play additional injury time, during which Dublin equalised. but blew the whistle when Monaghan got possession from the kick-out.
