St Anthony's GAA Reading Celebrate 50 Years

The St Anthony's squad
St Anthony's GAA is a small thriving GAA club in Reading in the UK. We have been in existence since 1963 and this year we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary.

We serve a wide area across the Thames valley. We are affiliated to the London Co Board and play out of Division 2 and play in the Junior Championship. Throughout the years hundreds of people have been players and members of the club who have hailed from the length and breath of Ireland. With modern technological advances it is easy to get in touch with players from the last decade but as it is much harder to reconnect with people who where part of the club in the earlier decades of our existence.

We are extending an open invitation to all Gaels especially former players and members or anyone with connections with the club to a celebration night on Saturday the 3rd of August at the Millennium Madjeski Hotel in Reading. The night will include a 3 course meal and live music as well as a chance to mix with many former players from the past decades. The MC on the night will be RTE midlands correspondent Ciaran Mullooly. It's guaranteed to be a nostalgic night. Tickets are £50. If you are interested in coming along or like advice about travel or accommodation please get in touch with us at [email protected] or call Chairman Conor Mc Greevy 00447808822271
