Truagh through to final

AIB ULSTER CLUB INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINAL.

Truagh 2-11
Foreglen (Derry) 0-7.

Truagh are through to the final of the Ulster club intermediate football championship when they defeated the Derry champions Foreglen in Omagh on Sunday last. Conditions on the day were not ideal but Truagh rose above the prevailing conditions to take control from the very early stages. Truagh found the Foreglen net as early as the second minute and they had 1-4 on the board before Foreglen opened their account at the end of the opening quarter. Truagh continued to dominate and led by nine points at half-time although some of Foreglen's finishing left something to be desired as they kicked 11 wides in all, four in the first half and registered a series of wides at the start of the second half particularly three chances from very scoreable frees, that could have helped close the gap. In the second-half play became a little scrappy at times with Truagh going all of 14 minutes before they opened their second half account but from there to the finish they were never really threatened.
