SHC: Heavey hits 10 as Kildalkey win

Kildalkey 0-21 Boardsmill 1-11

Kildalkey took on their near neighbours from Boardsmill in Longwood and came with a hard earned 7 point win.

Boardsmill set up with 2 sweepers to try and suffocate the Kildalkey forwards and succeeded to a degree as Kildalkey didn't score a goal as they were forced to hit from distance .

Enda Fitzgerald opened the scoring and Sean Heavey hit the first of his 10 points (7from frees)Mark Healy hit a long range point and his brother Martin got another in between 4 points from Heavey while Boardsmill kept in touch with points of their own to leave the score 0-8 to 0-7 at the break

Boardsmill hit the first point of the second half from a Niall Weir free to level the game but Kildalkey went on to outscore their opponents by 0-13 to 1-4 with Paddy Coneely hitting 4 Paddy Potterton 2 and 2 more from Martin Healy who proved a handful for his marker when he took him on. Brin Kelly kept the ball pumped into the forwards Heavey hit 4 more Points as Kildalkey finished out the game hitting 18 wides along the way
