Portumna's Johnny Kelly is set to be ratified as Roscommon's new senior hurling manager.

Kelly succeeds fellow Galway native Justin Campbell in the role after having steered Portumna to two All-Ireland club SHC titles from three final appearances.

In 2015, Kelly led Galway's intermediate hurlers to an All-Ireland victory, having previously managed the county's U21s, and in the same year won an Offaly senior championship crown with Coolderry.

Details of Kelly's backroom team for the upcoming season have not yet been finalised.
