Final notification and update for the race
Preparations are well and truly underway for the Rooskey based clubs run this weekend.
The route has been an officially AAI approved route which means it is an approved route of the (Athletics Association Of Ireland) and is the correct distance.

The route for the run is mostly flat with some challenging hills with the last 1km all downhill for a fast finish.
The walk is in a lovely quiet area and as you come to the finish line you will be able to take in the views from a height.
This is the clubs first time to run such an event and they are ensuring that it will be organised to the highest standards for all taking part.

The run & walk will start from the Kilglass Gaels Gaa club rooms situated just two miles outside Rooskey Village.
Runners and walkers alike can be guaranteed to avail of excellent parking, changing and showering facilities both before and after the race.

Registration will take place on the day from 12.30pm and each competitor can avail of refreshments after wards as well as medical treatment and we will have some massage therapists also there after the race to help aid recovery.
Entry fee for the race is as follows €10 for adults and €5 for under 18s.

Prizes in both male and female categories in both adult and minor will be presented to the winners after the race.
There will be prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd in both male and female categories in both minor and senior grades.
Kilglass Gaels Gaa club invite all those interested in running or just interested in a bit of craic or exercise to join us for what will be a very enjoyable race and walk.
