Thoughts on next years captain? Id like to see biggie captain. Not always a team player but leads from the front and the role might help develop him into more of a team player. bert09 (Meath) - Posts: 1839 - 14/08/2013 18:43:21 1461607 Link 0 |

I would leave Kevin Reilly as captain and that I'd what I believe they will do. Biggy is not captain material I think and the rest of the squad are still inexperienced and also Stephen Bray is the wrong side of 30 for the captaincy and already had it before. I agree Kevin Reilly is still the prime candidate for the captaincy IMO. Perhaps Menton, Newman or Keoghan could be given the chance in due course House_Royal (Meath) - Posts: 14 - 14/08/2013 19:15:21 1461631 Link 0 |

Biggy. Defiantly not captain material yet. Jinxie (Meath) - Posts: 6347 - 14/08/2013 20:57:23 1461706 Link 0 |

A bit of continuity ... keep Kevin as captain. He did all you could ask of a captain. Why would we change him? Because of tradition? ... nonsense. Leave him there and let's build on this year. TheFlyingTeacup (Meath) - Posts: 285 - 15/08/2013 08:23:53 1461733 Link 0 |

Reilly as captain for me, Keoghan or Menton as vice captain. Royalroller (Meath) - Posts: 86 - 15/08/2013 09:12:28 1461748 Link 0 |

Yeah I'd leave Kevin Reilly there alright, although if it were to change I'd give it to Paddy O'Rourke, a great year between the posts and he certainly has the ability to fire up his team and talk the talk Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3764 - 15/08/2013 10:05:17 1461770 Link 0 |

Kevin Reilly is definitely top choice for captain. Paddy O'Rourke would be my last choice!! ... Top 5 in order for captain: K.Reilly, B.Meade, S.Kenny, S.Bray, C.Gillespie. Most others are not experienced enough or are not leadership material (thats not a negative on them) wideasagate (Meath) - Posts: 140 - 15/08/2013 16:07:30 1462084 Link 0 |

I'd let kev continue for another year. But biggy as vice captain might be good option. Donal still a bit young imo. paddy o if not biggy. foreverroyal (Meath) - Posts: 349 - 15/08/2013 19:46:20 1462251 Link 0 |
