Think it will be between Trim and the Bracks or Ballinlough , Theres a raft of retirements/Emmigration in Ratoath with I think about 6 or 7 gone from last years panel. Trim will be favs though

Ballinlough are tipped for last few years but always fail when it gets to the knockout stage. Suspect this again this year as I cant see them improving much on last year. Trim should be strong enough after last years final defeat to go one better this year.

Really open again as usual.
Trim, Bracks, Kells, Ballinlough, Castletown will all fancy their chances and a few with an outside chance would be Longwood, Ratoath, Michael's

That's about half the teams in it !

Ballinlough in my opinion were never favourites over the past few years because there no where near good enough.. Very poor team IMO. Kells for a town team and for there pick of players are under performing.. There in the intermediate nearly ten years and reached one final in ten years.. They needed a new face this yr in regards management but stuck with jody.. They'll fall short again this year.. Castletown have a great chance because they have a decent team big mickey hickey will dominate the air which can be a major bonus at that level, unfortunately I still think there a player or two short. Donal Curtis was a massive coup for them, they'll be fit and ready this year. The bracks will be hard bet, but I think trim might land it this year with ex tones man Martin McNally with trim .. He'll dominate midfield or cause havoc full forward.. For me it's trim or Castletown it all depends on the group situations

Ah sure lok, Ratoath were flukey last year and should have "bottled" it a number of times!!! Heres hoping they 'bottle' it again!! But realistically you have to look at the likes of Trim and the Bracks for it this year. Although a fortunate quarter and semi final pairing could see an outsider gain a percieved easier route to the final and then its anyones game in the final.

in the next few years the county board have decided to rid relegation in the championship and promote both finalists therefore both ratoath and ashbourne have been promoted to intermediate is it the same in all championship levels or just junior? Wasn't trim in the final last year versus na fianna or am I wrong?

There's no relegation from intermediate this year once again but only the Junior winners get promoted this time. Next year everything is back to normal i think

Not one to be betting on, any number of teams could win it

Agree with cowardlyasafox, you'd need to see a few League games and know for sure who is still in the country this season. There are a few teams in this grade capable of winning it if they hit a good run of form at the right time (and depending on the luck of the draw of course).
