Get behind the lads and travel to Carlow!

(Oldest Posts First)

This is a rally call to all Meath fans reading this to make the effort to go to this game and drag as many friends and family down with you. There are plenty of buses going all over the county so if you don't want to drive get on one of them. I believe if we fill Dr. Cullen park like in 2008 v Wexford the lads us singing COME ON YOU BOYS IN GREEN! they will lift themselves and give us a much needed boost in the county. This is a huge game and the winners play Carlow in the next round so there is a lot at stake. C'MON THE ROYALS!

Anyone going to shout on Westmeath in Navan on Sunday? Clear our throats for Carlow!

As an aside, you know the right turn / slip road you go down to the ground in Carlow. If you didn't take this turn off and continued straight ahead on the main road will it still bring you relatively close to the ground, within say a mile walking distance. The last time I was down there I was several hours trying to get out of the car park on the old pitch and down the slip road. Thanks.

This is handy to have on your bedroom door! - http://supervalu.ie/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/GAA-2012-Planner.pdf

If our first two fixtures and venues are anything to go by, I'd say if/when we eventually crash out of Leinster, we will be doing a real tour of Ireland in the playoffs.

great idea to be able to get tickets in supervalu/centra!! but when you go thru the link you see meath have got short changed yet again by the GAA with only 2 outlets, what about ashbourne, dunshaughlin, ratoath, kells??? when you see equal size counties seem to have a lot more outlets eg mayo 5, kildare 8, kerry 7, galway 7!!

To be honest, I'd say the stores themselves have more say in numbers or who participates rather than the GAA. On my ticket it states Musgrave so obviously they are allocated from a central pool of their overall stock, although tickets.ie is also endorsed on same. If you think about it, if you owned an independent supermarket which was part of a national chain/franchise etc offering this service will get shoppers through the door. More important for stores located in Navan and Trim where there is far more competition in the grocery sector than other towns and villages. Although I'm surprised Kells isn't included. What I like most about the whole set up is that you no longer have to pay ticketmaster a handling fee or pay by credit card. Having said that if we get to Croke Park and they are still selling tickets, you will have absolutely no choice of seating. With TM you can at least see what seats are available before you decide to buy or not.
