Sean Clare played a leading role as University Limerick capture the All-Ireland Colleges Intermediate Football Championship title at Abbottstown yesterday.
The Syddan star lined out at midfield as UL claimed the title for the very first time with a 0-11 to 0-6 win over Ulster University.
There was also 3rd level Colleges success for five Meath footballers when DCU won the Leinster Junior Higher Edication championship.
Thomas O'Reilly (Wolfe Tones), Paddy Byrne (Moynalty), Dean Halpin (Nobber), James Cullen (Trim) and Kevin McKeon (Ballivor) were all part of the successful squad that defeated UCD.
