McMahon anticipates 'mammoth task'

London midfielder Fergus McMahon says his side face "a mammoth task" when they take on his native county Meath at Croke Park this Saturday in the Nicky Rackard Cup final.
The Exiles are gunning for their second title in hurling's third tier competition, after McMahon captained them to their first crown four years ago.
"It will be a mammoth task on Saturday as Meath are a lot stronger than most sides we've faced this year," McMahon told the Irish Post newspaper.
"We just have to make sure we take our chances when they present themselves and not fall asleep for patches in the game, something we've done too many times this year."
McMahon believes that Saturday's outcome at Croker will simply come down to who wants it more.
"We're not going over there for the craic," he said. "It'll come down on the day to who wants it more and I know we are desperate to pick up the cup and qualify for the Christy Ring next year.
"We've done what's been asked of us this by winning promotion and getting to the Nicky Rackard final, and now we want to finish the job with a win at Croke Park on Saturday."
