Despite objections from Rathangan, Karl O'Dwyer's transfer to Round Towers was formally granted by the transfer committee on Tuesday, February 20 last. The loss of the former All-Star comes as a huge blow to Rathangan whose decision to drop to intermediate football undoubtedly influenced O'Dwyer to seek a move. Rathangan should, however, be able to call on the services of Eoin Kennedy again this year after his attempt to transfer to last year's Intermediate champions Ellistown was turned down.
