Galway's Eddie Hoare and Finian Hanley and David Moran of Kerry during the NFL.
With Aidan O'Mahony returning to training ahead of schedule, Kerry boss Jack O'Connor has recieved a further boost with the news that midfielder David Moran is on course to play in the National League.

Moran has been out of action since April 2011 after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in Kerry's Allianz FL Division 1 win over Monaghan at Inniskeen.

The Kerins O'Rahilly clubman looked set to secure a permanent position in the Kerry midfield after some promising performances. His absence proved to be a big blow for the Kingdom in retaining their All Ireland crown.

According to Kerry selector Ger O'Keefe Moran has been making significant progress on the road to recovery, "David is working away on his own and we expect that he'll be joining the rest of the lads in training over the next few weeks."

"If he continues with the rate of progress he has been making so far, there's a good chance of him getting a run over the next few weeks."
