Defeat by Doohamlet in Ulster Club

Ballyhaise exited the Ulster Club Intermediate Championship after losing out in extra time to Monaghan Champions Doohamlet. Ballyhaise were level at half time and at full time but succumbed to a strong first half in extra time from the Doohamlet men when they went ahead by four points. Their star performer All Star Colin Walshe surged through the Ballyhaise men in this opening 10 mins in extra time to give them a lead that proved crucial. The green and golds had played well in normal time and when David Brady crashed to the net with 7 minutes remaining Ballyhaise looked set to advance to the Ulster semi-final. Unfortunately it was not to be and a late Doohamlet equaliser gave them a well deserved draw on 0-10 to 1-7. Their strong start in extra time just about allowed them to finish 2 points ahead at the final whistle. Ballyhaise performed well and will now look to complete their season with victory in the Breffni League.

2015 will be remembered as the year when the team and management secured the first Intermediate title since 1968. They worked  hard  for their victory and will now build on this for next years senior championship.
